WIS SIG “Overcoming the Real Barriers to Women in Security”

Teleconference on 8 MAY 2016  4-5 PM ET,  Presented by Hanna Sicker, Sr. Manager, Security and Network Operations Center, StubHub (an eBay company)  Monday, May 09, 2016, 16:00 – 17:00 Eastern
Women account for only 10% of the InfoSec workforce — without any improvement over the past 3-5 years — in spite of all the talk, reports, research, and company commitment to change this trend – and despite studies predicting a deficit of 1.5 million professionals by 2020.
 Why has there been no improvement in recruiting more women into the security field?  What are the real challenges that are keeping women away from security?  When will women leaders in security walk their talk?   How can women overcome the challenges and be proactive to fill the gap?
